Here are a few before and after pictures from my own personal project...
Before getting into something like this, call me anytime for FREE advice first. My mobile number is 714-0759
You can see in the demo pictures, with the obstacles I discovered in the concrete slab floor, ( a large heating run +copper water lines running everywhere, ect) it came close to impossible to finish this mission without completely ripping up the whole bathroom floor and re-routing the hvac and plumbing system .
You never know what problems , difficulties, and FUN surprises you are going to run into in an older home.
Our downstairs bathroom dated from - 1964
Originally , on the left side was a 36 inch shower next to a toilet, and on the right was a full length 6 foot vanity,

call us anytime about your bath re-model

1-14-09 FROZEN PIPES ALL OVER TOWN
..master plumber mark..
How do I keep my pipes from freezing in bitter cold temps this year???
1. Keep ALL of your water faucets running a very small stream on bitter cold days and nights. This only costs pennies a day and it is much , much cheaper than the damages caused by a burst water pipe.
2. Go outside and inspect around your home.....Make sure all your vents and crawl space doors are closed tightly. Seal them off with blankets or cardboard if necessary, any way to keep frigid temps from flooding down into your crawl space is very wise...
yes ......... Mr. Couch Potato
this could require that you will have to do some hard physical work out in bitter cold temps...

3. If your home has the new plastic PEX brands of water lines , you DO NOT want them to freeze solid this winter, because it is nearly impossible to unthaw PEX pipes in tight spots and in ceilings.....their is no easy way to do it.
Usually, you just have to wait till they finally warm up on their own when the weather gets better and just hope that they are not broken.
PLEASE keep all your faucets dripping and avoid all this trouble... Water is very cheap...
Please, dont be a tightwad
remember to keep ALL of your faucets running or you could be paying someone hundreds or perhaps even thousands of dollars to repair all the damages....
4. Learn how to shut off your water in case of a flood.. Mark and tag the main shut off valve for future emergencies... show your wife and kids how to shut off the water in case you are not home.
Please shut off your water when you go on vacation this winter to Florida, or you might come home to a pleasent suprise........

Please call us this spring and we can come out for free sometime when we are in your area and locate these important valves for you...
